My mind is blown. I don’t even know how to put my feelings into words, but SARAH J. MAAS HAS DONE IT AGAIN!! My beautiful best friend gave me emotional support while reading this book.
This book follows Celaena Sardothien
Aelin Ashryver Galathynius after winning the title of the King’s Champion. Now she “does” all his dirty work because yeah, she’s his personal assassin. BUT the truth is she doesn’t follow the rules because she has been giving the suspects a chance to flee. Her relationship with Chaol grows A LOT (If you know what I mean) but then bad things happen between them. Her relationship with Dorian isn’t like it was in Throne of Glass but they’re still friends and that’s what matters. Throughout the story she faces a lot of obstacles and we learn really cool stuff about her.
This book was so much better than the first one. Don’t get me wrong, Throne of Glass was amazing but Crown of Midnight was FANTASTIC! I cried a lot with this freaking book. There was more romance… A LOT OF ROMANCE, and mystery, action and so much BLOOD! I enjoyed every single page of this book, even the deaths. And OMG, I really liked and enjoyed MORT! HAHA, I laughed like crazy with that thing.
Aelin is an assassin, we all know that but she has beautiful feelings and she cares a lot. Her character feels so REAL and oh man, they way she kills is brilliant. She had suffered her entire life and later she was finally feeling happy, but then the stupid Archer came and fucked everything up.
“It was like coming home or being born or suddenly finding an entire half of herself that had been missing.”
The thing I most enjoyed was the relationship between Celaena and Chaol. Man, those two were so cute with each other. Every single person in this world should read chapter 23 of CoM because that chapter was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read. She gave Chaol everything she had, and when I say everything I MEAN EVERYTHING! Seriously, it was beautiful and I cried a lot because I was so happy for them. And yeah, I cried, let’s keep going with the review. I didn’t want them to fall apart but stuff happened thanks to the stupid Archer. I hated that guy. I’m glad he’s dead.
Okay, let’s take a moment to see how beautiful Chaol and Celaena looked together. SO CUTE!!!!
I liked Chaol before, but now I like him more. I started to love him and now I’m crazy about him. I’m still Team Dorian, but you know, Chaol is bae. I’m really happy that we finally had the chance to understand everything about him. HE WAS THE ONE WHO DISCOVERED CELAENA’S REAL IDENTITY!
Dorian is my baby and y’all know it. I love how his character grown throughout the story. He was so mature and we finally understood a lot of stuff about him. I hated him in two chapters but I still love him with my life. Celaena and Dorian kept their friendship and it was stronger now. He now knows what the King is really doing so I’m hoping he’s going to fix everything and kill his father before he start doing really bad stuff. *cough* he has magic *cough*
As I said before, Celaena suffered a lot in this book and it was Archer’s fault. Nehemia isn’t alive anymore and it’s his DAMN FAULT!!! How could he? HOW?!? Nehemia was so important in Celaena’s life and in MY LIFE. I won’t get over her death, NEVER!
THAT ENDING OMG WHY WHY WHY!!!! THE LOST QUEEN OF TERRASEN WAS IN FRONT OF EVERYONE AND NO ONE EVEN NOTICED!!!! MY CELAENA IS THE LOST QUEEN. SHE’S AELIN ASHRYVER GALATHYNIUS.
