“I understood books. I did not understand boys – especially alien boys.”

As y’all know, this book follows Katy Swartz and Daemon Black, the alien boy. At the end of book one, Katy and Daemon were connected because he healed her when she fought an Arum. Now he’s saying he likes her a lot and wants to be with her, but Katy doesn’t believe him. She thinks he’s saying that because of that stupid connection. Suddenly, she starts to do weird things like aliens do but she doesn’t know why. A new boy came into town, Blake Saunders. He “likes” Katy so they start dating until he told her the truth. He was healed a while ago, and he is capable of doing weird stuff like her and he wants to teach her how to control those abilities. The truth is he’s working with the DOD, and he’s going to betrayed her. Dee’s boyfriend was killed by Blake after a huge fight, and Katy feels so freaking guilty about it. Katy and Daemon stopped being assholes and accepted that they wanted to be with each other. After that, Will (Kellie’s boyfriend) is an implant so he kind of drugged Katy. Daemon came into the rescue (as always) but in order to save Katy, he has to heal Will. He does, but he thinks that won’t succeed. Then, after all that madness, Katy and Daemon went back home and he found that he’s brother (who they thought was dead) came back home. “Everything did changed… for the better and for the worse.”

“That’s the funny thing about trying to escape. You never really can. Maybe temporarily, but not completely.”

I love this book just as much as the first one. This book is full of plot twists that make you feel you’re on a roller – coaster. I’m totally captivated by these books. Daemon was so much fun in this book. He didn’t like Blake at all so he was calling him with names like Flake, Biff, Bilbo Baggins and I laughed so hard. I think my favorite scene was the one during Thanksgiving day. That scene was so beautiful that I had to cry with Katy… (Yeah, I cried, that’s not a big deal so keep reading). Oh, and that scene when they were filming a video for Katy’s blog… JAJAJA, that was so freaking hilarious. I love that even though they aren’t normal human beings, they always act like they are, and they’re not perfect, they do bad things and make really bad decisions but that makes these characters more realistic. I’m currently looking for an alien who would heal me so I could have those cool powers Katy now has.

“Words were the most powerful tool. Simple and so often underestimated. They could heal. They could destroy.”

Katy and Daemon were so freaking cute. My God. He was so determined to prove her that what he feels is real and it wasn’t product of their stupid connection. He did everything to prove it. He succeed… well, he’s Daemon so he succeed when he wants to. I loved when they just sat and talked about everything, and then went to bed just to sleep… nothing more. They care about each other so much that sometimes it’s crazy. They’ll do anything to protect each other… everything. That’s cute tho, because if you love someone you’re suppose to take care of him/her and do anything to protect him/her. They grew as friends, soulmates, couple and not because of the freaking connection. When you really love someone you just feel what that person feels and somehow you and that person become one.

So according to the covers and the internet, these two are Katy Swartz and Daemon Black. Honestly, I think they could be cuter… but these two aren’t that bad tho.

“Treasured. Loved. We were together. Two halves of the same atom brought back to make one that was infinitely stronger.”

This was my second book written by Jennifer L. Armentrout and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I really, reaaaally love her writing. As I said when I wrote a review for Obsidian, this is an extraordinary story and a really good book to those who love Paranormal Fantasy.
