“When someone says something so devastatingly perfect, there isn’t a need for a response.”

Well, you know, at the end of Onyx Dawson was back home. So Opal follows Katy Swartz and the sexy alien, Daemon Black. But in this book, we follow the journey of everyone getting ready to save Beth. You know that she’s inside Mount Weather so they had to prepare in order to rescue her because that place is like hell. They started training with Blake… yeah Blake is back, and let me tell you something… you can’t trust him!!!! Anyway, they trained for months and then, after prom, they went to Mouth Weather and everything was perfect… until something HORRIBLE happened. I’m still suffering, guys…

“One of the things I love about you is how protective you are, but it also drives me crazy. You can’t protect me forever.”

Even though this book was kind of slow, I loved it. I loved every single part of it. It’s just how I said before… Jennifer L. Armentrout’s writing is beautiful. I love Dawson… I think he’s really mature and I really liked that he and Katy developed a friendship quickly, because he needed that… after everything.  JLA is really good making me trust people that later are going to betray me… *cough* Blake *cough*. That asshole… I’ll kill him if I have the chance…. I’m kidding. But damn, how could he do that? AGAIN?!  Also, another thing  that shattered my soul (besides the ending) was Carissa. I really want to know what really happened to her before all that fight at Katy’s house. Did she knew about the aliens too? Did she had a friend who was an alien? WHO DID THAT TO HER? Damn, I need answers because I feel lost and that scene was really strange.

“When he kissed me, it was like he was reaching for my soul. Funny thing was, he already had that and my heart in his hands.”

Daemon and Katy’s relationship keeps growing and growing. I love them in every book. There isn’t a part that I don’t love. In this book he did some beautiful things for her, and to be honest… I was jealous. A MacBook Air? He gave her a MacBook Air because he knows how much she likes to blog about books. Also, that scene after prom… how cute was that? I imagined every single detail and I was in love… and jealous, again. It was beautiful, amazing, phenomenal. I just adore how much they love and care about each other. He can be a little over protective at times and it’s annoying but she doesn’t care.

I’m loving this series so much. I’m afraid to read Origin because of the ending of this book. The ending shattered my soul and I just can’t believe that happened. It’s really sad… and if you read this book you know what I’m talking about. Even though I’m afraid, I have to read Origin because I need to know what’s going to happen. Anyway, hands down to JLA because her writing is fantastic.
