This month wasn’t the best, but I achieve something I desire my whole life; I graduated from college. Finally, I have my bachelor’s degree in something I really wanted to study. In case you’re wondering, I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a major in Criminology. I’m really excited about this. Now I’m looking forward to my next goal and I hope to achieve it really soon.
I haven’t been reading that much these past few months, but I feel like I have a lot going on so I can’t even concentrate. Good thing is, I read three books this month and even though they were only three, I enjoyed them a lot. Let’s not talk about my June TBR because I didn’t complete it, but who cares? Anyway, here are the books I read this month *drum roll*
1. I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson (5/5 stars)
2. Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings (5/5 stars)
3. Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys (5/5)
As you may see, I gave 5 stars to all of them but it was because I really enjoyed these books. I have a review for I’ll Give You the Sun and for Zenith so if you click the name of the book you’ll be able to read it. I finished Salt to the Sea last night and I must say, it was heartbreaking but so good; my favorite read of this month. Ruta’s writing is perfection. My review for it will be up soon so stay tuned for it. I wanted to read more this month but something happened. I started reading an ARC of And I Darken by Kiersten White, but I wasn’t enjoying it. After a week (or more), I decided to take a break from it and that’s when I started reading Salt to the Sea. I’m planning on finishing And I Darken this week so we’ll see.
Last Wednesday I met the beautiful and amazing writer, Jennifer Niven. She’s the cutest! We really had a good time at The Bookmark. She signed our books, she let us signed her book and we took selfies with her. I’m really happy that I had the chance to meet an author for the first time. It was an amazing experience.
Last but not least, I wanted to say thank you for the 200 followers on my bookish twitter account… I’m really happy. You can follow me if you want (@enchantedreadrs). Also, I’m really close to 100 followers on this blog and I’m so excited. It’s an honor to me that you like my blog and what I write, so thank you so much for being part of this.
Okay, okay… enough. This is all for today’s post. Let me know in the comments which books you read this month. Thank you so much for reading. Until next time, xoxo.
