In honor of being halfway through this year, I decided to do the Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag. According to my Goodreads Reading Challenge, I’ve read 31 books this year so far. Not bad, but not that good tho (for me).
Anyway, let’s get started.
1. Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2016
When I bought this book I was afraid because I didn’t enjoyed The Darkest Minds that much, but the synopsis of this book was so interesting. I went to Barnes & Noble and bought it as soon as it came out. I have to tell you, it was amazing in every sense. I loved it. Best book I’ve read this year so far!
2. Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2016
This book is fantastic. It has a little bit of everything. People weren’t lying when they said this was the best sequel they’ve read this year so far.
3. New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To
I haven’t read anything by Victoria Schwab, but I really want to. I’ve heard amazing things about her writing.
4. Most Anticipated Release for the Second Half of the Year
I really enjoy Kasie West’s books. I’m looking forward to read this new release. Her books are amazing reads for the summer.
5. Biggest Disappointment
I had high expectations for this book, but it was a biggest disappointment. It has some cool things, but it needed something else to be an amazing book.
6. Biggest Surprise
To be honest, I thought this book wasn’t going to be any good. Well, I was wrong. I started it, and finished it really quickly because I couldn’t stop. It was a great start to the Androma Saga.
7. Favorite New Author (Debut or New To You)
Ruta Sepetys! I read two of her books this year and I absolutely loved them. She’s now one of my favorite authors, I swear. Her writing is so beautiful. You’ll love her.
8. Newest Fictional Crush
Peter Kavinsky, of course. I read this book a few days ago and I loved him and I need him in my life.
9. Newest Favorite Character
Shahrzad. She’s a strong and confident woman. How am I suppose not to love her? She’s amazing.
10. Book That Made You Cry
I don’t even have to say that this book broke my heart in every possible way.
11. Book That Made You Happy
This book has an amazing story in it. Even though I felt sad at times, it was a happy book. It will fill you with joy.
12. Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought So Far This Year
Of course I had to mention Lady Midnight. One of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen.
13. What Books Do You Need to Read Before the End of the Year
To be honest, there are a lot of books I need to read before the end of the year so I’m not going to annoy you with a long list. I’ll definitely have to read a book by Victoria Schwab, that’s all I’m going to say.
There you have it. These are the answers for the Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag. Have you done this tag? I would love to see your answers so feel free to leave the link in the comments. I hope you all enjoy this. Thank you so much for reading. Until next time, xoxo.
