Need a cute and easy read for the summer? Read The Unexpected Everything.

This book follows the life of Andie, the daughter of a politician. She’s supposed to go away for the summer to do an intership but things don’t go as she planned. Andie always have a plan for everything, but this summer everything changes. The unexpected comes…

How can I write a review for this amazing book? All I can’t think right now is “hvhfdrbiufbuurigREADTHISnjhufuihgth”, but I’ll try to organize my thoughts in a few minutes.

What can I say? This book is amazing.

Let’s talk about Andie. In some ways I feel like I’m Andie. She’s extremely organized and has a plan for everything… I am like that. I hate when things don’t go as I planned. I was sad when she received a call about the internship. It sucks having to change all your plans, because at the last moment they said you can’t do what you wanted. Being the daughter of a politician means having everything supervised which I would hate. I really liked that she wasn’t a selfish brat jut because she’s the daughter of someone important. She was different from the common girls I read in contemporary books. She likes flings. She doesn’t want relationships that last more than three weeks. To be honest, she doesn’t want a relationship at all.

She has amazing friends. Each one of them was different, but they complement each other in a lot of ways. They were there for each other no matter what, until something unexpected happened. Well, for me it wasn’t unexpected at all because I knew that was going to happen, I felt it in my bones. I understood Bri, I mean, everyone was thinking “oh, poor Toby” she needs this, she needs that, we need to protect her. Yeah, you’re all friends and you need to protect each other, but let’s be honest, Toby is selfish. Nobody thought about Bri when everything happened. Yes, she was with someone and she didn’t say anything. Yes, she should’ve say something especially to Toby. But she deserves to be with someone she loves, she deserves to be happy. There one thing I loved about Toby… SHE COMMUNICATE ONLY WITH EMOJIS and she nailed it.

As I said before, Andie doesn’t want relationships. That’s when she meets Clark. A bestseller author, who writes fantasy and wears Star Wars and Doctor Who shirts. Let’s be real, he is my boyfriend. This guy was so cute in all senses and he treat Andie so good. I was happy she decided to tell him how she felt, because they’re so beautiful together. They need to be together.

This book in general was really good. The plot was amazing, the characters were amazing, the romance was amazing, the friendships were amazing… EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. We have road trips, amazing friends, cute boys, ice cream, dogs, scavenger hunts and more amazing things. After reading this book I want to become a dog walker to see if I meet someone like Clark. Andie’s relationship with her Dad was so well developed. I love them, I love her father… he was so amazing with her.

Every aspect of this book was good to be honest. This is the first book I read by Morgan Matson and I’m really impressed by her beautiful writing. Everything was so easy to read, so easy to follow. The chapters are long; 20 to 50 pages per chapter but it’s a good thing. I always said “oh, I’m just going to read this chapter because is 50 pages and I need a break, my eyes hurt”, but it was so good and so easy to read that I flew through those pages and when I realized, I’ve already read three chapters.

I highly recommend this cute book for the summer or whenever you want. It’s a cute, quick story that you absolutely need to read. Go, read it and talk to me about it. I cannot wait to read more books by Morgan Matson.
