Boston Teen Author Festival
A week ago I had the chance to go to the Boston Teen Author Festival, and oh my God, I got the chance to meet so many amazing authors. I went last year, and I really liked it but I think this year was so much better. I went to different panels (which I couldn’t do last year) and I loved them.
As you may know, these kinds of events have signing sections so I had a lot of books with me because I couldn’t pass the opportunity of getting them signed. There were 40 authors, yes, 40! I couldn’t buy every single book because you know they cost $20+ when they’re hardcover but, I did buy a few. Yes, I have a book buying problem. No, I don’t care.
Anyway, I was the first in line for the book signing section and I got to meet Leigh Bardugo first. Yes, the queen Leigh Bardugo. I never thought I would have the chance to meet her, and now I even have a selfie with her. To be honest, I have a lot of selfies with different authors and I will share them with you in a bit. I also met Adam Silvera, Sasha Alsberg, Lindsay Cummings, Susan Dennard, Kerri Maniscalco, Victoria Aveyard, Lisa Maxwell, and Ashley Poston. All of them were so nice to me. I talked a little bit with Adam and Sasha about what happened in my homeland, Puerto Rico. Sasha signed one of her new bookmarks and gave it to me. I talked with Kerri twice because we were in the bathroom at the same time (yes, the bathroom, so random) and she was really sweet. It was such a surreal experience, and I cannot wait for next year’s event.
What I’m Reading…
My last reading update was a few weeks ago when I let you guys know that I was reading Tower of Dawn and The Night Circus. As you may know, I finished Tower of Dawn and I had a few issues it (read my review here). I haven’t finished The Night Circus but I will… eventually. After finishing Tower of Dawn, I decided to read Eliza and Her Monsters. Oh my god, I LOVED THAT BOOK. My review for it will be coming really soon (in a day or two). I gave it 5 stars because it was absolutely amazing.
Yesterday, I decided to start reading They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera and holly guacamole, what a sad but amazing book. I’m 300 pages in so, I’ll be finishing it today. I must say, that book is breaking my heart but in a good way. As soon as I finish it, I want to start reading Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin but, I want you guys to tell me if it’s good or not. I’ve heard good things but, let me know your thoughts anyway.
There you have it. Those are the recent bookish updates that I have for you today.
What are you guys currently reading? Have you met any authors recently? Which authors are you dying to meet? Let me know, I would love to know.
Thank you so much for reading. Until next time, xoxo.
